X JAPAN, one of the most successful rock bands in Japanese history, and EMI Music have signed an exclusive three-year manufacturing and distribution agreement that will have EMI Label Services handle the band's releases in North America. The first release will be the track Jade on March 15th.
The X JAPAN/EMI agreement comes on the heels of X JAPAN s U.S. concert debut last August at Lollapalooza, and the band's first-ever North American tour that wrapped up on October 10 with a sold out show at New York s Roseland Ballroom.
"We are so honored to have X JAPAN as part of the EMI / CAROLINE family. After the highly successful North American tour last fall, the timing is perfect for the upcoming X JAPAN release" , says EMI s executive vice-president and general manager Mike Harris.
Added Executive Vice President EMI Music Services North America, "We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with X JAPAN. They have cultivated a strong following in the U.S. and we look forward to working with them, helping to reach even more fans."
(Outside of North America, including Japan, X JAPAN s management is in the process of closing deals. )
To support the new album, X JAPAN plans to tour extensively in 2011.

Rock band Kuroyume is making their comeback on February 9th with the release of a new single, “Misery“.
To hype things up, the band decided to do a “secret live” in front of the East exit of Shinjuku Station on January 29th. The live was called, “Kuroyume 1/29 X-DAY Supported by VANQUISH“.
Five thousand fans gathered in front of the stage as support members KIYOSHI (G), K-A-Z (G) from Sads, and GO (Dr) from Sads appeared on stage. The last to enter on stage was original members Hitoki (B) and Kiyoharu (Vo), and the fans voices grew louder.
The first song they played was “Shounen“, and as soon as Kiyoharu started singing, all of Shinjuku was in an uproar. It only took two minutes for police to come and stop the show. Because the music was too loud, staffers informed Kiyoharu, and as each member left the stage, he said one word to their fans, “Sorry“.
The staff announced to the audience that the police had requested the live be cancelled, but even though the band left the stage, fans chanted, “Encore“.

The 4-member band AYABIE revealed several projects on Saturday, including an announcement that they are serving as the music directors of a movie being released during Golden Week of this year. Directed by Kiyohide Matsumura, the film is titled "Enishi" and includes all four members of AYABIE in its cast.
"Enishi" stars voice actors Kisho Taniyama and Daisuke Namikawa, actress Mao Miyaji, and AYABIE members Yumehito and KENZO. The other two members of AYABIE, Takehito and Intetsu, have guest roles.
The story revolves around various people known as "shibito," a term referring to those who have been legally declared dead after being missing for seven years. These "shibito" continue their lives in the shadows of society, each with different purposes that lead them into conflict.
AYABIE is providing the movie's theme song "Melody," which will be released on February 23 as their first single since forming as a new band. In late April, they also plan to release a soundtrack for "Enishi."
To celebrate their single, they are holding several events in record stores between February 22 and March 20. They have also scheduled several concerts in those two months.
In addition, AYABIE will release a live DVD on March 23 that contains their concert on January 6 at Akasaka BLITZ, which was the final show of their "Virgin Snow Color 2nd season" tour.

Kagrra's Isshi passes away
The J-rock world is reeling with shock over the sudden announcement of Isshi’s death. Isshi was the vocalist for popular rock band Kagrra, who disbanded back in March earlier this year.
According to Isshi’s official website, Isshi was found dead in his home on July 18th. At the request of his grieving friends and family, a funeral for the star was already held at an undisclosed location. The website also went on to state that Isshi’s pre-planned dinner shows for July 27th and 28th have been altered to become a memorial event.
Although there are many rumors circulating on the internet, representatives have yet to reveal
X Japan's comments on Taiji
After receiving the devastating news that former X member TAIJI had passed away, each of the members of X JAPAN left a comment expressing their sorrow.
The management site has been flooded with questions about X JAPAN’s schedule, but international fans shouldn’t worry despite the bad news: at the moment, all stops in X JAPAN’s world tour will go on as scheduled, as TAIJI would have wished.
Check out each members’ comment below:

Former X member, Taiji, passes away
Took me a few days to get round to this because the story kept developing. Taiji was involved in two incidences prior to his death, so I've compiled them in one post.
July 11th,
Apparently, Taiji became assaultive and combative with a woman in his party or nearby, tried to throw himself at/out of the plane window, kicked the (also female) flight attendant repeatedly and had to be restrained by passengers - while showing behavior heavily reminiscent of being on a very bad trip or having severe hallucinations.
"In her affidavit of probable cause, Federal Bureau of Investigation special agent Mary H. Goff told the court that prior to the incid
